Systemic leech therapy

Systemic therapy with leeches brings together the traditional knowledge of hirudotherapy, eastern approaches to understanding the human being, and contemporary insights into how the body functions. It is grounded in a holistic view of the person, in which the physical, psychological and energetic dimensions are inseparably interconnected.

An important part of the systemic approach is the gradual adaptation of the body to the bioactive substances in the saliva of the medicinal leech. The aim of this process is for the body to respond to the therapy in as balanced a way as possible, which often means less pronounced local reactions and better overall tolerance of the therapy.

In the systemic approach, leeches are placed on specially selected points on the body that, within traditional eastern systems, play an important role in maintaining the balance of the organism. The aim of the therapy is to support the natural processes of self-regulation and the establishment of homeostasis, and to treat the person as a whole rather than through individual symptoms alone.

A distinctive feature of this approach is also the monitoring of energetic balance according to the principles of traditional eastern medicine. For this, the Akabane test is used, which provides insight into the state of the individual energy channels, or meridians. On the basis of this information, the therapy is adapted to the individual and their needs.

Systemic therapy is not aimed at quick or superficial solutions. It is a process that requires time, cooperation and perseverance. The aim is to support the body in establishing the best possible internal balance and to create conditions in which the body can activate its own capacities for adaptation and regeneration.

Every person is unique, and so responses to therapy differ as well. The course and duration of the therapies are always adapted to the individual, to their condition and to the goals they wish to achieve.
